Introduction to Data Analytics

This Introduction to Data Analytics course is designed to provide participants with a strong foundational understanding of data analytics and its practical, real-world applications. This 35-hour course provides comprehensive training in project management aligned with the Project Management Institute (PMI®) framework. Participants will learn the principles, processes, and best practices of project management, covering key knowledge areas such as scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, communications, and stakeholder management.Designed for professionals seeking to strengthen their project management skills or prepare for PMI certification, the course satisfies the 35 contact-hour education requirement for the PMP® exam. Through lectures, discussions, and practical exercises, participants will gain the tools and techniques needed to successfully initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects in any industry.The program is delivered by a PMI-certified trainer using an accredited curriculum. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion recognized by PMI®.

Lean Thinking: Introductory Concepts

Lean Manufacturing involves identifying and eliminating non-value adding activities in design, production, and supply chain management.
Six Sigma is a statistical problem-solving method that concentrates on measurement methods, data collection and graphical methods of presenting findings to control and improve processes.
This two hour class will introduce you to both Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma in a practical way so that you can apply to your business or enterprise.

Manufacturing Prep Accelerated Program
The Manufacturing Prep Accelerated Program (MPAP) prepares you for the Certified Production Technician 4.0 (CPT) designation with hands-on exercises and instructor training. Topics covered are: Safety, Quality Practices and Measurement, Manufacturing Processes and Production and Maintenance Awareness.Students also earn OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR/AED credentials. Those who pass the CPT certification exams earn 15 credits (one semester) toward the Associate in Science degree in Engineering Technology. Additionally, participants will make valuable connections with regional employers and receive career assistance.This short-term training program connects participants with local firms and quickly increases their employability for manufacturing production and quality assurance positions.
Operation Next Florida is a partnership between the Florida Department of State and LIFT, a public-private partnership between government, industry, and academia.
The program offers Florida residents FREE training in advanced manufacturing skills. It puts trainees on strong career paths with opportunities to land high-paying, in-demand jobs throughout the state.
REQUIREMENTS:
Open to U.S. citizens, eligible non-citizens, 18 years or older (by program completion date), high school diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a program, interested in manufacturing, and meeting other program admission requirements. Seating is limited. Eligible participants will be enrolled at no cost through the support of Operation Next Florida. The application deadline is December 12th, 2025.
Class is scheduled to begin on 1/12/25 and will run until the end of June:
Monday's and Thursday's from 2:30-5pm (in person at Orange Park campus)
Tuesday's from 3:00-5:00pm (online)
