Manufacturing Prep Accelerated Program

The Manufacturing Prep Accelerated Program (MPAP) prepares you for the Certified Production Technician 4.0 (CPT) designation with hands-on exercises and instructor training. Topics covered are: Safety, Quality Practices and Measurement, Manufacturing Processes and Production and Maintenance Awareness.

Students also earn OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR/AED credentials. Those who pass the CPT certification exams earn 15 credits (one semester) toward the Associate in Science degree in Engineering Technology. Additionally, participants will make valuable connections with regional employers and receive career assistance.

This short-term training program connects participants with local firms and quickly increases their employability for manufacturing production and quality assurance positions.


Operation Next Florida is a partnership between the Florida Department of State and LIFT, a public-private partnership between government, industry, and academia.

The program offers Florida residents FREE training in advanced manufacturing skills. It puts trainees on strong career paths with opportunities to land high-paying, in-demand jobs throughout the state.

REQUIREMENTS:

Open to U.S. citizens, eligible non-citizens, 18 years or older (by program completion date), high school diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a program, interested in manufacturing, and meeting other program admission requirements. Seating is limited. Eligible participants will be enrolled at no cost through the support of Operation Next Florida. The application deadline is February 19, 2024.

Get on the road FAST with National Trucking's CDL Now! Course. In just 4 weeks you’ll train and learn all you need to know to pass the CDL Class A exam – Including the written and road tests. You’ll go from zero to CDL in just 20 days of training! Program includes job placement services.

Classes are held daily (M-F plus Saturdays in weeks 1 & 3) from 7:00 am - 5:30 pm for four weeks at National Training, Inc.'s facility in Green Cove Springs, FL. Housing assistance may be available through NTI if needed.

ENROLLMENT PROCESS: After adding yourself to the wait list for this course, you will be sent a screening form to ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria. You will then receive instructions from National Training, Inc. regarding the mandatory DOT physical and how to obtain your Commercial Learners Permit. During the enrollment process, representatives from National Training, Inc. will work with you to determine the best payment method for you (including assistance from CareerSource NEFL or the Veterans Administration if you qualify). Once you have completed the enrollment steps and finalized payment, you will begin your course (please note that this may be up to eight weeks from the time you begin the enrollment process depending upon the funding timeline).

COST: $7,995 (partial tuition assistance may be available through CareerSource or Veterans Affairs for qualified individuals)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Participants must be 18 years old (for within-state license) or 21 years old (interstate license) and pass a background check and drug test.

Real Estate - 63 Hour Sales Associate Pre-Licensing

Welcome to a collaboration between First Coast School of Real Estate and St Johns River College!  This partnership allows its students to go beyond traditional learning and offer a dynamic and flexible approach to real estate education.  ENROLL TODAY to lay the foundation for your real estate career with our comprehensive, state-approved pre-licensing course.

Course Schedule:

May 22nd, 2024 - August 1, 2024: DAYS: Wednesday/Thursday -3hr Classes

St. Augustine Campus 9 AM-Noon

Palatka Campus 1:30-4:30 PM 

Palatka Campus 6 PM-9 PM

Step 1: Meet Eligibility Requirements

  • Ensure you meet the following requirements:
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Have a Social Security number.
  • Complete a state-approved pre-licensing course.

Step 2: Complete Pre-Licensing Education

Enroll in a Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) approved pre-licensing course. The course must consist of 63 hours of instruction covering topics such as real estate principles, practices, and law.

Step 3: Pass Course Exam

After completing the pre-licensing course, you must pass the course exam with a score of at least 70%. This exam evaluates your understanding of the material covered in the course.

Step 4: Submit Application

Complete and submit the Florida Real Estate License Application online through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) website. You'll need to provide personal information, course completion details, and pay the application fee.

Step 5: Get Fingerprinted

Schedule a fingerprinting appointment through the DBPR website or by contacting an approved vendor. This is necessary for a background check.

Step 6: Pass State Exam

Once your application is approved and your fingerprints are cleared, you'll receive an Authorization Notice allowing you to schedule the state licensing exam. The exam consists of two parts: a national portion and a state-specific portion. You must pass both parts with a score of at least 75%.

Step 7: Find a Sponsoring Broker

Before you can activate your real estate license, you must affiliate with a licensed Florida real estate broker. Choose a broker who offers the support and resources you need to kick-start your real estate career.

Step 8: Activate Your License

Upon passing the state exam and finding a sponsoring broker, you can activate your real estate license. Your sponsoring broker will provide you with the necessary paperwork to submit to the DBPR, along with any additional fees required.

Step 9: Start Your Real Estate Career

Congratulations! You are now a licensed real estate salesperson in Florida. Begin building your client base, marketing your services, and assisting buyers and sellers with their real estate transactions under the guidance of your sponsoring broker.

Insurance: FL 2-15 Life, Health, and Variable Annuities Agent License

The Florida 2-15 Life, Health and Variable Annuities Agent license allows an individual to transact contracts for Life Insurance, fixed-dollar annuity contracts, or variable annuity contracts offered by the same insurer. This license also allows the individual to transact Health Insurance. This license has a 60-hour pre-qualification course requirement. (To sell Variable Annuities an individual must also obtain a Series 6 Securities or Series 7 Stock Broker's license.)

This is an online, self-study course. Your course will become available to you within a few days after you register, and you will have 90 days to complete the course. Those who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion and will be prepared to take the FL 2-15 professional licensure exam.

Insurance: FL 4-40 Resident Customer Representative License

This 60-day self study course qualifies you for the FL 4-40 Resident Customer Represenative license. This license allows a salaried employee of the general lines (property and casualty) agent or agency to transact automobile, water craft, home, motorcycle, and pet insurance under the supervision of a licensed and appointed general lines agent. Upon completion of this course and passing the final course exam, students will receive their license from the Florida Department of Financial Services.

Insurance: FL 6-20 Resident All Lines Adjuster License

This 60-day online self-study course qualifies you for the FL 6-20 Resident All Lines Adjuster license. Individuals with this license can be employed as independent adjusters, company employee adjusters, or public adjuster apprentices to  ascertain and determine the amount of any claim, loss, or damage payable under an insurance contract or undertake to effect settlement of such claim, loss, or damage.

Those who complete this course, pass the course exam, and meet all other licenseure requirements will receive their FL 6-20 license from the Florida Department of Financial Services.
